Zakarpattya region and the Charity foundation "Карітас-Caritas» of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese took a large delegation in the framework of the Observatory Mechanism organized by the International Organization for Migration under project the technical cooperation projects and capacity building of governments of Ukraine and Moldova for the implementation of readmission agreements with the European Union (GUMIRA). The delegation included representatives of international organizations (IOM, UNHCR, Red Cross Committee), representatives of diplomatic missions (European Commission, the Embassy of Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden), government representatives of Ukraine (State Committee of Ukraine on Nationalities and Religions, Department of the migration service in the Zakarpattya region, the Security Service, a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament  Commissioner for Human Rights) and others.

On Wednesday 09^th September 2009, held a "Great" Visit of representatives of international organizations (IOM, Doctors without borders, UNHCR) to Chop border troop. The purpose of the visit was to review the current migration situation in the temporary detention facilities of Chop border troop. Together with the guests representatives of the Administration and the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine came.

In the nationwide magazine "Katolickiy visnyk" № 16 from September, 16^th 2009 was published an article “Detained illegal immigrants... " Which reveals the subject of illegal migration to Zakarpattya region and the Charitable Foundation "Карітас-Caritas" of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese. On Thursday September 3^rd 2009 representatives of Human Rights League (Slovakia) and Petr Kuzma Miroslav Snirerova attended visit to Caritas. It was their first visit to our organization. They came here to learn more about the migration situation in the region and discuss possible cooperation between the two organizations in 2010 as part of the border monitoring project that HRL is implemented on Slovakia. After meeting the parties remained satisfied with its results and further extend the trust in closer cooperation.
