They presented their organization and its activities in Ukraine. They also presented a house for refugees in the city of Lviv, who cares about their organization, presented the activities of building and settlement criteria for asylum seekers and refugees in this house. Caritas presented its activities in migration management in the region.
Representatives of religious social organizations of Europe met in Lviv
25-27 May, the annual conference of representatives of religious social organizations of Europe took place in Bruhovichi. It took more than two dozen participants from 10 European countries. Meeting organized jointly by Caritas Europe and Caritas Ukraine. "Its goal - to present Ukrainian experience in the field of migration and discuss possibilities of transnational cooperation," - said in welcoming remarks Vaskovych Andrew, President of Caritas Ukraine.
April 27, 2009 there was working visit of representatives of the international organization «Doctors without Borders» Kim Hiyelens and Apostolis Veyzi to Charity fund «Caritas-Caritas» Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese. The main aim of their visit was to inspect places of detention of illegal migrants in the region with further opportunity to provide financial of other type of assistance for the improvement of these places of detention. In particular, they visited the detention centre Chop border troop together with Caritas. They also communicated with illegal migrants, who detained at that detention centre to get the «live» information first hand.
