Round table «Modern emigration: problems of social and national orphanage»
Charity Fund «Карітас-Caritas» Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese a member of the round table on the problems of modern emmigration held on 29 January 2009 in Uzhgorod city hall. This round table was organized by the International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with the Diaspora NU «Lviv Polytechnic» in the frameworks of the project «Modern emigration: problems of social and national orphanage» financed by Open Ukraine Foundation and Victor Pinchuk Foundation. Participants in the roundtable were representatives of government, NGOs, educationalinstitutions, and representatives of Mukachevo Greek-Catholic diocese.
22-23 January 2009 in Lviv in the
framework of the project ERSO was held International Conference on «Challenges
towards the reintegration of returning to Ukraine». Its members, and that 70
representatives from various government and public social services in Ukraine,
including the director of the Charitable Fund «Карітас-Caritas» Mukachevo Greek-Catholic diocese, considered the problem of
the return of compatriots from foreign work travells and by providing
reintegration assistance psychological, social, legal and material.
On the feast of Epiphany
Charity Fund «Карітас-Caritas» Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese, along with two
priests, Fr. Michael and Fr. Vladislav had a consecration of apartments and
houses single elderly who receive assistance under the project «Home care» BF
«Caritas-Caritas» MGCD.
After Christmas celebrating on 9of January2009 workers and volunteers of Charity Fund«Карітас-Caritas» Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese and Fr. Vladislav from Hrestovozdvyzhenskiy cathedral of Uzhgorod city passed with Christmas carol to peoplethat receive help from project «Home care». In addition to Christmas carols, they brought the warmth andjoy of this great holiday to single elderly people.
Also, the Christmas campaign was aimed at creating and maintainingChristmas mood for single elderly people whodeprived attention of society and state.
