What is Caritas?

Caritas is expression and way ofcharity of Christian community that lead and run by bishop.

Caritas is a mainsocial-pastoral channel of every Diocese (church). It means that allChurch follows suit of Jesus Christ

Caritas was founded only for realizingprojects or attract external funds. It is main goal to be point ofconcentration of “awareness, solidarity, sharing and service”.

Long-term goal of Caritas is to nourishspirit and acting of justice and charity in every diocese church andin all Christian communities (families, groups, societies, parishesand etc.). Only by way of Caritas local Christian community canrealize and carry out this particular charity that is source ofhighest justice and realistic way of sharing material welfares.

Caritas strive to enlarge sensitivityof Christian community that it made its obligatory that was givenduring baptizing and in the same time to convince all Christians tobe faithful and active guides of charity and justice.

Caritas is interested in everyone. Butat first Caritas have to help and witness on behalf of feeble,hungry, homeless, exiles, powerless and voting power, exploited –all are in the edge of society.

Work in the projects“Homecare” and “Enhancing Capacitiesin the Area of Protection and Treatment of Refugees and Asylumseekers in Zakarpattya/Western Ukraine”, that are performed byMukachevo Greek-Catholic diocese.

As much as truth statement that charityis expression inner faith in solidarity between people and duty toshare with people with needs as mush as right opinion that charitybecomes science in nowadays.
